RUNE ROUTE · GOAL-BASED
Task Bar Hero rune tree guide
There is no universal best rune-tree order. Secure the unlocks and quality-of-life nodes your account needs first, then route toward the resource or combat bottleneck that is actually slowing your progress.
Last source review: 2026-08-11 · Node order and reset behavior still require a current in-game check.
Choose a route by bottleneck
Start with nodes that unlock capabilities or remove friction—such as skills, party capacity, or automation—when they are available and relevant to your account. After that, choose the branch that solves your current constraint.
| Current bottleneck | Route to examine first | | --- | --- | | Progress requires too much manual attention | Automation and quality-of-life nodes | | Upgrades are limited by currency | Gold-related nodes | | Account or hero growth is slow | Experience-related nodes | | You need more item opportunities | Chest-related nodes | | A specific stage blocks progression | Combat nodes that match that failure |
A safe planning method
- Write down the next concrete goal: unlock, farm, or stage clear.
- Open the current tree and identify prerequisites leading to that goal.
- Compare the total route cost, not only the final node.
- Spend toward one short-term goal instead of scattering points across every branch.
- Reassess after the unlock or bottleneck changes.
The community planner is useful for comparing routes, but the in-game tree remains the authority for the version you are playing.
Avoid these common mistakes
- Copying a late-game route before you have the same unlocks.
- Treating a resource branch as mandatory when combat is the real blocker.
- Assuming reset rules or prerequisites shown in an older guide are unchanged.
- Calling one order “best” without stating the player's goal and version.
